Holly Jane Doyle

Holly Jane Doyle is a young writer from Wexford, Ireland, who developed a love for writing poetry as a young child. Influences include Ted Hughes, John Clare, and Edward Thomas, of which she shares a great interest in nature. Two of her poems were published in Stone Soup Magazine in 2023.

The Heron

The heron stalks,The boat approaches.

His head turns,One foot lifting from water.

The boat chugs forward,No sympathy there.

Wings stretch,Like the unfurling of a cloak.

He glides,Driven away.
