Nigel Quinlan

Nigel Quinlan has written two books for children, The Maloneys' Magical Weatherbox and The Cloak Of Feathers. He has also written several short stories, published in Ember: A Journal of Luminous Things, The Caterpillar, and The Book Smugglers' Quarterly Almanac. He lives in Ireland, and writes about some of the odd magical and mystical things that can happen there. He once watched a whole lake disappear. This is perfectly true.

There was no safe place in the entire world from the rain of stars. The fox fled to the one place he knew, the one place he remembered, where he had felt safe and secure and happy. He ran to the mountain and the cave near the watching giant.
