RB Kelly grew up in Northern Ireland in a home filled with books, and started writing stories as soon as she was old enough to hold a pen. Her debut novel, Edge of Heaven, was shortlisted for the Arthur C. Clarke Award, and the sequel, On The Brink, was longlisted for the BSFA Award for Best Novel. She has a PhD in film theory and lives just outside Belfast with her husband, their two children, and a very lazy cat. Her current home is also filled with books.
